DESCRIPTION:As scholars\, you may have noticed numbers or values that are
assigned to different journals or articles. H-index\, G-index\, SCOPUS\,
i10--what do all these mean\, and how do they impact you? \n\nIn this
webinar\, we will dive into the world of bibliometrics\, or the numerical
values assigned to journals\, articles\, and authors to measure their
impact. Attendees will learn about the different kinds of bibliometrics\,
what they measure (and what they don't measure)\, what it means for
scholars\, and how to approach the system with an informed and critical
mindset. \n\nDan Johnston\, Reference and Instruction Librarian at NU\, is
also one of our liaison librarians to the Sanford College of Education and
